This book describes techniques using Deep Trance Identification. By its very definition this involves trance and hypnosis. Therefore common sense rules should be followed when engaging in any of the techniques described, whether as the hypnotist or the client.
Many issues that could arise during a DTI can be easily avoided by following the protocols laid out in this book. In particular, always contextualize any change to a specific context, always carry out full ecology checks before commencing a DTI, and always reintegrate the client or modeler back into his or her own self, fully and completely (including integrating any clashes in values and so on), before concluding the DTI work. We will be discussing each of these safeguards in more detail in the book.
